2. GPS Coordinates
3. Altitude
Look up the approximate terrain elevation first.
The Generate button below creates a GPSAltitude close
to this reference instead of inventing an unrelated
altitude.
Default generator range: reference elevation −5 m
through reference elevation +5 m. You can change
those limits.
Canadian elevation reference
Use the coordinates selected on the map to look up the
approximate terrain elevation in Natural Resources
Canada's Toporama.
Generated values are plausible helper values, not proof of what a particular phone or camera actually measured.
4. GPS Date & Time
GPS date/time metadata is normally represented using UTC.
5. GPS Speed
Default 0–1.5 km/h is intended as a stationary /
near-stationary helper range. Change the range if the
actual situation involved movement.
6. Image Direction
Direction has no universal “normal” value, so Generate
chooses a random valid bearing from 0° up to but not
including 360°.

7. Destination Bearing
When synchronization is enabled, this automatically
follows GPSImgDirection. Disable synchronization to
generate or enter a separate bearing.
8. Horizontal Positioning Error
Default helper range: 3–15 m. GPS accuracy depends
heavily on sky visibility, buildings, device, and
conditions, so these limits remain editable.
